Her father is an Australian lawyer, James Ernest Curtis Smith. Her father James Ernest Curtis-Smith was married to Ojales in 1982. Her younger brother Jasmine has also become an actor. Their father had one half sister, called Clare, who passed away in 2007 at the age of four months due to cardiovascular disease.
